  • Question: Is the diploma/Certificate Approved by Government of India/Association of Indian Universities
    Answer: School of distance learning Jagan Nath University is recognized by the joint committe of UGC-AICTE-DEC New Delhi, so the degree/diploma and Certificate are vaild.



  • Question: Is a Post Graduate Program equivalent to receiving a Master’s degree?
    Answer: No, Post Graduate Program will award the student with a Diploma and not a Master’s degree.



  • Question: Does the Program require computer/Internet literacy?
    Answer: Yes, basic proficiency in computers and internet is required as all assignments & exams are online. Most of the services students avail are also online.



  • Question: How can student’s admission status get changed from Provisional to Confirm?
    Answer: Students have to submit the required documents within due date to confirm the admission status.



  • Question: How will a student come to know the status of his/her application for admission?
    Answer: On receipt of admission form in SDLJU, the same will be scrutinized and the admission will be processed (days). Please refer to the prospective student section where admission status will also be available for online viewing.



  • Question: Is there any procedure for late admission? I got the prospectus on last date of admission.
    Answer: Yes, you can send the filled form with the late fee charges. Late admissions are granted with the Director’s approval only.



  • Question: What is the admission procedure?
    Answer:
    • Interested candidates can register themselves by filling up 'Application Form' available at the university campus and the city campus of the Jagan Nath University,Jaipur .
    • Application forms and prospectus are available on payment of Rs. 250 and Rs. 500 according to course for distance learning at University campus .
    • Candidate can also Apply online through website (www.jagannathuniversity.org). Forms can also be Downloaded and filled application form can be sent with demand draft of Rs.250 and Rs.500 drawn in favor of "Jagannath university" payable at Jaipur.
    • The form should reach the campuses before the last date of submission of Application form.


  • Question: Can students take the admission online/can we download the prospectus from the website?
    Answer: Yes, there is a process of online admissions and the prospectus is available online.



  • Question: Is there any entrance test or any minimum percentage required to take admission?
    Answer: No, there is neither an entrance test nor a percentage criterion to take admission.



  • Question: What is the evaluation methodology?
    Answer: In each Program you are required to appear and pass online assignments which are computer based and subjective exam. For certain programs, additionally students are required to submit soft copy/hard copy of the Project.



  • Question: What is the pattern of the exams and where will the exams be conducted?
    Answer: The exams are offline exams and will be in the form of subjective questions. The exams are conducted at the respective study centers which are announced before examination.



  • Question: How do students receive study material? Do they have to pay extra charges other than the fees?
    Answer: All set of study material for all semesters is already covered under the Program fees. Study material is dispatched to the student, semester wise at the communication address mentioned on the admission form.



  • Question: How can I pay my course fees?
    Answer:
    1. Cash Challan:
    Applicants having no credit cards can also avail the facility of online admission by depositing programme fee in cash along with bank charges of Rs.250 and Rs.500 according to course at any Branch of any Axis Bank. If the student opts for payment through cash, the student has to initially fill all the particulars in the online admission application form and submit. The computer will generate an automatic control number which the student should note for future reference. The format of Cash Challan for deposit in cash will appear on the screen.   The student should take a printout of the filled in application as well as challan form which will be containing three copies. On payment of the cash, the said banks will retain one copy of the challan and return back two copies to the student after filling in the transaction number. The student will then affix his/her photograph and putting his/her signature at the appropriate place of the printout copy of the admission form and forward the same along with one copy of the challan and attested photocopies of the testimonials to the concerned RC for processing the admission application form.
    2. Bank Drafts
    An applicant can make payment of admission fee through Bank Drafts and fill the particulars of the draft on the online application form and submit. A student can also make draft from Punjab National Bank by paying Rs.10/- as Draft charges. In such case, an applicant is required to draw a bank draft of required amount first. On submitting the online application form, a control number will appear on the screen which is required for future references. The applicant will then take a printout of the filled in online admission form and submit the same to the concerned Regional Centre along with the original draft and copies of required testimonials
    Make the set of the following documents and send the above set of documents to the concerned Regional Centre:

    1. Print out of the filled online application form with auto generated Application Form Number with your two photographs affixed and duly signed.
    2. If payment mode Bank Draft/Cash Challan, then on the back of Demand Draft/Challan Copy please fill the following details(Fee proof is not required for Credit Card Payment):
      1. Your name
      2. Auto generated Control Number given by JNU
      3. Programme applied
    3. Certificates in support of your educational qualification(s)
    4. Experience Certificate wherever required
    5. Category Certificate for SC/ST/PH/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/Kashmiri Migrant/War Widow candidates where  required
    6. Age Certificate wherever required


  • Question: What are the different Program fees?
    Answer: To get the details of Program fees, students need to buy a prospectus or go to University website.
