Jagan Nath University, Jaipur has been established through an Act (Act 19 of 2008) of Rajasthan State Legislature in 2008 and is approved by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 to award Degree and Diploma. The university has been established to cater to the growing needs of higher education in the country. |

The University is situated at Rampura, Tehsil Chaksu, Jaipur which is in proximity to the airport and industrial area on Tonk Road on a vast campus spread over 40 acres of land with all modern education facilities in its ambience. The University also has its own 10.5 acres of campus at Sitapura, Jaipur. The University has its own dedicated transport system between the Jaipur City and the Campus. |

The University's principal functions include:
To create and maintain a learning Environment in which the rights of all are respected.
To Provide wide range of opportunities through various conventional, professional and technical courses.
To provide instructions, training and research and to make provisions for the advancement of education and research in the areas of management, engineering, mass communication,
architecture, law, fashion design, hospitality management, medical and para medical etc.
The encouragement of the dissemination, advancement, development and application of knowledge with the facilities for research.
The provision of courses of study or instruction across a range of fields, and the carrying out research, to meet the needs of the community.
The conferring of degrees, including those of bachelor, master and doctor, and the awarding of diplomas, certificates and other awards.
To disseminate knowledge and quality education to different target group of learners irrespective of their age, gender, region, status and employment through distance learning.
